Lower Macungie Library will host Ingrid Bohn and Robin Reichert from the Lehigh Valley Storytelling Guild in a program of scary stories 6 p.m. This family-friendly event is open to all ages. Advance registration is required and participants are asked to bring a canned food item for the Second Harvest Food Bank. Upper Milford Mennonite Church, Kings Highway and Geissinger Road, Zionsville, will host the Ten Thousand Villages International Crafts Festival noon to 8 p.m. Also 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 4. All income benefits Third World artisans by marketing their handicrafts in North America. The festival is wheelchair accessible. A bake sale also will be held. Breakfast With Snoopy 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Lower Macungie Township Community Center for infants through 12 years old with a parent or caregiver. Advanced registration is required.

Annual White Elephant Sale and Bazaar 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Paul’s Parish Center, Third and Susquehanna streets, Allentown. Event features homemade food, attic treasures, baked goods, Christmas items, clothing and more. All proceeds benefit St. Vincent de Paul projects, including a weekly food pantry. Holiday craft bazaar at Zion Lehigh Lutheran Church, 8269 Spring Creek Road, Alburtis, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Event includes crafts, quilts, basket raffle, bake sale, Grandma’s Attic and homemade food. All proceeds benefit Zion Lehigh Lutheran Church.

Nov. 5

The Carbon Model Railroad Society will host its fall train meet 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Diamond Fire Company bingo hall, 120 Main St., Walnutport. Highlights include a model railroad and a toy train. There is a cost for admission. Parking is free.

Nov. 7

MorningStar Moravian Church, 234 S. Main St., Coopersburg, will host an election day bazaar 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch will be available 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Luther Crest will host a financial fraud awareness seminar 2 p.m. at the senior living community, 800 Hausman Road. Financial specialist Stephanie Miller will share strategies people can use to help prevent personal information from getting into the hands of scammers or other criminals. Longswamp UCC, 200 Clay Road, Mertztown, will host a Pennsylvania Dutch Bazaar 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 11. Event will feature craft vendors, raffle baskets, PA Dutch desserts, apple dumplings and more. Nov. 12

Veterans Day program 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Lower Macungie Community Center co-sponsored by the Lower Macungie Township Historical Society, Macungie Historical Society and Macungie VFW Post 9264. The speaker will be Richard Buss, a retired Navy captain and a native of the village of East Texas, who will present “The Four Chaplins” - the story of four Army chaplains who volunteered their services during World War II.

Artist Donna Haney will be the guest presenter meeting of the Parkland Art League, 7 p.m. at Macungie Institute, 510 East Main St., Macungie. Haney will demonstrate painting trees, working in oils. The Parkland Art League is open to all residents of the Lehigh Valley and beyond.

Nov. 15

Emmaus Historical Society meeting 7 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church Parish Hall, Fifth and Chestnut streets. The program will include information about the Schwar Geneology Library which is housed in the museum. Society member Lynette Fink will talk about the history of the Schwar Genealogy Library.

Nov. 17

The Children’s Ball, “Journey to Oz,” a Wizard of Oz theme, will be hosted by Community Services for Children at Lehigh’s Mountaintop Campus, 6 to 9 pm. The ticket includes a reception, seated dinner, live jazz and an auction. Jon Stetson, a mentalist, is the special guest entertainer. Ninth annual craft/vendor fair 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lower Macungie Township Community Center. Over 100 crafters and vendors will participate. Brookside Deli will offer lunch 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. A free shuttle from the parking lot to the door will be provided by Corporate Limousine.

Grand opening of the Bartholomew Center for the Preservation of Lower Macungie Township History at the barn at Camp Olympic Park, 3120 S. Dec. 11

Open house at the Wescosville Log House, 5047 Hamilton Blvd. Tours of the candle-lit house, warm drinks, cookies and harp music will be included in the event which is free and open to the public.
