Rep. Justin Simmons, R-131st, will host hours in his district office in Coopersburg Nov. 3 for area veterans and their families to receive assisting regarding programs and benefits.

Appointments are available 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for veterans to meet with a veterans outreach specialist from the American Legion to answer questions about veteran benefits and help file claims.

Some of the issues the outreach specialist can help with include:

*Compensation and pension claims

*Education benefits

*Enrollment in the VA health care system

*Burial and survivor benefits

*State benefits

*Obtaining military personnel and medical records.
