fundraiser planned

A fundraiser is planned to assist the family of Devin Andresen, noon Nov. 12 at Emmaus Fire Company No. 1, 50 S. 6th St., Emmaus.

Andresen was the victim of a robbery and gun violence June 22. As a result of being shot multiple times, Andresen is now paralyzed from the chest down and requires 24-hour care.

His aunt, Elizabeth Andresen Reinhard, will be bringing him home to care for him, but needs help with home modifications before that can happen. The total needed for his bedroom modifications is approximately $5,000.

There will be a bake sale, a 50/50 raffle, a lottery board and a Chinese Auction. An extra wild card will be given free by bringing a gift card to any pharmacy, food store or home improvement store to assist the family with needs that may come up in the future.
