Article By: Bethlehem Catholic Notes-Business Club hosts BBQ Marisa Linsky

The Bethlehem Catholic Business Club hosted a tailgate-BBQ Oct. 21in the Becahi gym parking lot. Proceeds from the event will benefit Becahi’s Future Business Leaders of America, an educational organization of students that learn about business management and free enterprise.

Senior Ryan Young, president of Becahi’s Business Club, and Adam Tatar, Bethlehem Catholic High School business teacher, organized the event to help raise funds to support the Business Club students as they prepare for team competitions. FBLA hosts competitions for students to compete in a range of business topics such as management, free enterprise, entrepreneurship, and stock competitions at both state and national levels.

A state-wide competition is held every year in Hershey. In previous years, the Bethlehem Catholic Business Club has had the privilege to send multiple students to Hershey to compete.

“We strive as a club in these competitions and the goal for every individual it to make it to Hershey and support our team,” says Ryan Young, president of the Business Club.

The BBQ was run entirely by Becahi students and faculty.
