Just one team remains unbeaten in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference after the seventh Friday night of the 2017 high school football season. Several games on this week’s card have District 11 Class 6A playoff implications. Here’s a look at some of Friday’s action.

Bethlehem Catholic-Parkland

The Trojans won a battle of the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference’s last two unbeaten teams with a 38-24 win over the Hawks.

Jahan Worth ran for 243 yards and scored three Parkland touchdowns, while quarterback Michael Ruisch completed seven of his 15 passes for 120 yards and a pair of scores for the Trojans (6-0). Juan Salas and Tyler Hays caught touchdowns and Brian Hanton nailed a 25-yard field goal in the second quarter.

Bethlehem Catholic’s Javon Clements went 7-for-19 with on touchdown. Matt Bisko rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. Daizhun Rhodes ran for 38 yards and a touchdown for the Hawks (6-1), while Shamus Williams caught four passes for 79 yards and a score.

Whitehall-Freedom

The Zephyrs outlasted Freedom, 45-37.

Braxton Morerro (18 carries, 77 yards; 2 receptions, 23 yards) scored two early touchdowns, one rushing and one receiving, to give Whitehall an early lead. Abdul Beasley (21 carries, 204 yards, 2 TDs) got Freedom on the board with a 91-yard touchdown run.

The Zephs (5-2) responded with three straight scores, including 36-yard Alex Khouri field goal and touchdown passes from Ethan Parvel (13-for-20, 199 yards, 4TDs; 18 carries, 174 yards) to Dezmond Boykin (6 receptions, 99 yards) and Joseph Herman for a 31-7 lead.

The Patriots (4-3) cut into the lead with an 8-yard touchdown pass from Jared Jenkins (7-for-17, 173 yards, 2 TDs) to Kyree Marshburn and a 77-yard interception return by Beasley, making it 31-21 early in the third quarter.

Whitehall and Parvel answered with a 13-yard touchdown pass to Dabriel Ayala and a 2-yard touchdown run by Shavar Hussett to push the lead to 45-21.

Beasley scored on a 23-yard run in the fourth quarter and Justus Grube caught a 74-yard touchdown pass from Jenkins in the final minute of the game.

Emmaus-Nazareth

The Hornets held on to beat Nazareth, 55-42.

Emmaus jumped out to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter, but the Blue Eagles battled back and were within one score of taking the lead three times before the Hornets (4-3) sealed the win with a 1-yard Sone Ntoh run with 18 seconds left.

Ntoh ran for 208 yards and four touchdowns on 17 carries for the Hornets. Teammate Lubens Myers added 88 yards and a score on 25 rushes. Noah Breidinger had one carry for five yards.

Emmaus quarterback Blake Reed completed seven passes for 154 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Josh Artis (3 receptions, 105 yards) and Isaiah McPherson caught touchdown passes.

Nazareth quarterback Anthony Harris completed 22 of 36 passes for 304 yards, including two to Jahan Dotson (7 receptions, 154 yards).

Bangor-Northwestern

The Tigers scored twice in the first half and that was enough for a 14-0 win over Bangor.

Justin Roda scored on a 13-yard run and Caleb Clymer caught a 23-yard pass from Phil Dangello for Northwestern. Dangello ran for 87 yards on 15 carries in the game. Clymer caught four passes for 45 yards).

Notre Dame (Green Pond)-Catasauqua

The Rough Riders scored first, but couldn’t hold off Notre Dame in a 60-28 Crusader win.

Catty’s Derrick Rodriguez got the Roughies on the board with a 10-yard touchdown run just a minute and 20 seconds into the game. Notre Dame (5-2) answered with 31 straight points before Miguel Hernandez caught a 25-yard pass from Andrew Brett to get Catty (2-5) within 31-14 in the second quarter. Hernandez and Brett hooked up for a 75-yard fourth-quarter touchdown. Brett also threw a 42-yard touchdown pass to Corey Raysley in the third quarter.
