Nicholas Lee Diehl, 35, of Macungie, died Sept. 30, 2017. He was the husband of Adrea L. (Rushatz) Diehl, devoted father of Cadence and Autumn. Born in Allentown, he was the son of Lee A. Diehl and Donna M. (Rhoads) Diehl.
He honorably served his country in the Army in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
He worked as a truck driver for US Foods.
He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown.
He had an infectious personality that left a lasting impression on everyone who met him. He was a passionate fan of sports, specifically the Philadelphia Eagles, Penn State football and the Georgetown Hoyas basketball team.
He was a loyal friend and dedicated family man.
He is survived by his wife; children; mother; father and his wife Patricia; sister, Kelly and her husband Daniel Moyer and their son Jaxon; Nick’s godson and nephew; brother, Nicholas Roth and his wife Bethany; mother and father-in-law, Wendy and Andrew Rushatz; maternal grandfather, Robert E. Rhoads; sister-in-law, Sara and her husband Tim Gasper and their children Rocco and Charlie.

A memorial service with military honors will be held 11 a.m. Oct. 5 in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 4 and 10 to 11 a.m. Oct. 5, in the funeral home.
