Parkland remained one of two undefeated teams in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference with a win over Whitehall Friday night. The other EPC unbeaten, Bethlehem Catholic, plays a Saturday evening game.
Palisades is still the only Colonial League team without a loss after rolling to a win over Salisbury.
Here’s a look at some of Friday night’s action. For more see this week’s Lehigh Valley Press newspapers.
Parkland-Whitehall
The Trojans overcame an early deficit to beat Whitehall 31-21 and remain undefeated.
Whitehall got on the board first when Dez Boykin caught a 23-yard pass from Ethan Parvel in the first quarter. But the Trojans scored 21 second-quarter points to take a lead at halftime.
The Zephyrs (4-2) evened the score at 21-21 in the fourth quarter, but a Brian Hanton field goal and a Joseph Guida four-yard touchdown run sealed the win for Parkland (6-0).
Parvel completed 13 of 21 passes for 181 yards and a touchdown, while rushing for 33 yards on 15 carries. Boykin caught seven passes for 117 yards.
Parkland’s Michael Ruisch completed 21 of 32 passes for 231 yards and a score. Jahan Worth ran for 78 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 14 carries. Tyler Hays (seven receptions, 87 yards, one TD) and Juan Salas (five catches, 70 yards) led the Trojans receiving corps, which saw five different players catch passes.
Emmaus-Freedom
The Patriots beat Emmaus 24-17.
Freedom’s Jared Jenkins threw two touchdowns passes, one to Alec Huertas (3 catches, 68 yards) and one to Justus Grube (two catches, 83 yards). Jenkins went 10-for-19 for 202 passing yards while also rushing for 98 yards on nine carries. Abdul Beasley ran for 86 yards on 20 totes for Freedom (4-2).

The Hornets (3-3) out-gained the Patriots 436-390 in total yardage, but 13 penalties for 97 yards slowed down Emmaus, which had two drives end in missed field goals.
Anthony DeCresci kicked a 27-yard field goal in the first quarter to put the Hornets ahead 3-0. Freedom’s Nicholas Stannard hit a 22-yard field goal in the third quarter.
Nazareth-Northampton
The Blue Eagles pulled away in the third quarter for a 48-13 win over Northampton.
The Konkrete Kids went to halftime down 27-13 before Nazareth added three third-quarter touchdowns.
The Eagles’ Anthony Harris threw four touchdown passes, including three to Jahad Dotson.
Northampton’s Tyrese Brandon had a two-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Josh Smith got the Kids’ other score on a one-yard run in the second quarter.
Palisades-Salisbury
The Pirates remained unbeaten with a convincing win over Salisbury, 49-0.
Seven different Palisades (6-0) players scored touchdowns in the win and the Pirate defense held Salisbury (2-4) to just 155 yards while forcing a pair of turnovers. The Falcons have now dropped four straight games after an 0-2 start.
