The church will have its fall festival community yard sale and car show 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 7. Rain date is 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct 8.

Bring cars, trucks and motorcycles to display.

Delicious food and baked goods will be available for purchase.

There will be a 50/50 drawing or stroll the grounds listening to favorite tunes.

Lehigh Valley Zoo, 5150 Game Preserve Road, Schnecksville, is hosting a family scarecrow building contest Sept. 30 and a family pumpkin painting contest Oct. 1.

African Penguin Day will be celebrated Oct. 7 at the zoo with penguin themed activities.

There will be daily penguin feeding and talks at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The zoo will be celebrating wolf awareness weekend Oct. 7 and 8 with wolf-themed activities.

Join zoo staff for a real-life wolf feeding at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 8.

North American Day with activities to bring awareness to animals native to North America will be Oct. 9.

There will be a special guest appearance by Wonder Woman from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. courtesy of Joanna Bertalan of Professional Singing Princess.

All these events will offer hands-on interactive experiences, keeper talks and up close encounters with some of your favorite animals during the Wonders of Wildlife encounters.
