The Salisbury High School Student Government Advisory will host its 2017 Homecoming Parade 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 13.
The parade is not only to celebrate Salisbury’s homecoming but also to promote unity and camaraderie among the Salisbury community.
Participants in the parade will include some Alumni Wall of Honor inductees riding in classic cars; the Salisbury Youth Association; Boy and Girl Scout Troops located within Salisbury Township; SHS’s marching band, twirlers and colorguard; Eastern and Western Salisbury fire departments; Salisbury Township Police Department and various SHS and Salisbury Middle School clubs and activities.
SGA will also recognize SHS’s homecoming court and will invite dignitaries, including the township manager, police chief, Salisbury Township School District Board of Directors, superintendent and principals.
SGA encourages township residents to sit along the parade route which starts at Harry S Truman Elementary School and continues left on Salisbury Road, left on Tweed Avenue, right on Montgomery Street and concludes at the high school.
Members of the Class of 1967 who recently toured the high school have also been invited to participate. Any other alumni interested in participating should contact Anne Schneider at aschneider@salisburysd.org.
