Power Pop:Pop star and actor Rick Springfield, above, is in concert at 8 p.m. Sept. 21, Penn’s Peak Jim Thorpe. The creator of some of the finest power-pop of the 1980s, a Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and musician who has sold 25 million albums and scored 17 United States Top 40 hits, including “Jessie’s Girl,” “Don’t Talk to Strangers,” “An Affair of the Heart,” “I’ve Done Everything for You,” “Love Somebody,” and “Human Touch.” He most recently starred opposite Meryl Streep in the feature film, “Ricki and the Flash,” gave a chameleonic performance as the creepy Dr. Pitlor in HBO’s drama “True Detective,” and is receiving great reviews for his portrayal of Lucifer on the CW show, “Supernatural.” Opening the concert: The Dives. Road warrior:Charlie Daniels, above, performs in concert, 8 p.m. Sept. 22, Penn’s Peak, Jim Thorpe. From his Dove Award-winning gospel albums to his genre-defining Southern rock anthems and his CMA Award-winning country hits, few artists have left a more indelible mark on America’s musical landscape than Charlie Daniels. Still a road warrior at age 80, Daniels has parlayed his passion for music into a multi-platinum career and a platform to support the military, underprivileged children and others in need. Daniels was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame (2016), the Musicians Hall of Fame and became a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Daniels’ “Night Hawk” album, released in August 2016, is a collection of cowboy songs, many performed acoustically. Three-in-one:Ana Popovic blazes the stage at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 23, Penn’s Peak, Jim Thorpe. The Los Angeles-based, guitar player and singer is back on the road promoting her new triple album, “Trilogy,” her most ambitious project yet. “Trilogy” is three albums of 23 funk, blues-rock and jazz tunes. “In an era where most are skeptic about the current state and future of the music industry, I wanted ‘Trilogy’ to tell a different story. Creativity is very much alive and music is the celebration of life.” Popovic, born in Belgrade, Serbia (formerly Yugoslavia), started playing at the age of 15. Since then, Ana has developed into an phenomenal guitarist-vocalist with a growing legion of fans throughout the world.
