EMERGENCIES

North Whitehall, South Whitehall and Upper Macungie townships will host “Get Prepared Parkland,” an emergency preparedness event 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 30 at Lone Lane Park, 30 Lone Lane, Upper Macungie Township.

There will be demonstrations, presentations and training sessions to mark September as National Emergency Preparedness Month.

Events include gun, generator and bike safety, fingerprinting, hands only CPR, junior firefighter obstacle course, live and simulated fire extinguisher training, first aid and more.
