Whitehall High School’s meet the teacher night is set for 6-8:30 p.m. tonight, Sept. 21.

Gockley’s Bag Your Book is back. When your child brings home a library book, it will be in a plastic library book bag. Please have your child use this bag every week to bring the library book back and forth to school.

This bag will serve to protect all library books. Thank you for your help!

Gockley students need to have a change of clothes that are seasonally appropriate in the child’s backpack for use in case of spills or accidents at school. There is a limited supply of clothing in the health room.

Elementary and middle school students must wear socks and sneakers on days of gym class. It’s important to wear proper footwear to ensure students can fully participate. It is also a safety issue during activities and outdoor recess.

It’s important to update phone numbers and addresses, along with emergency student information. Whitehall-Coplay School District requests that all students’ records be reviewed and/or updated, so they have accurate contact information and medical records.

A user name and password were included in a letter that was sent in the mail back in August.

Breakfasts are now being served at the school buildings. The cost is $1.60. There is a reduced price for those who qualify.

The elementary schools continue to participate in General Mills’ BoxTops for Education collection program. Each BoxTop is redeemed for a cash reward, which is used for student activities. Each school has its own goals.

Just trim the BoxTops, save in a resealable bag and then periodically send them to school with your child.

Whitehall-Coplay School District has an anonymous tip line for anyone who believes a student could be in danger from another person or from himself/herself. If you are aware of a possible situation, leave a message at 610-435-4638.
