The EHS Hornet Ambassadors organization is now accepting applications. The Hornet Ambassadors play a large part in familiarizing the EHS community with our building, as well as helping new students adjust to life at the high school. The Hornet Ambassadors give tours to our soon-to-be freshmen and new students, help direct parents on parent nights, guidance information nights and other functions where assistance is needed. If you like to help people, want to get involved in our school and community and give tours of our high school, involvement in the Hornet Ambassadors would be a great opportunity. If you are interested in becoming a Hornet Ambassador, pick up an application from Mrs. Molnar in the Learning Lab. Applications are currently being accepted for sophomores and juniors. Applications for freshmen will be accepted in spring. The fall application deadline is Sept. 22.

The EHS counseling office will host a financial aid workshop Sept. 28. Kim Adamson, assistant director of student financial services, will speak to parents, guardians and students about Free Application for Federal Student Aid, financial aid and the application process. The program will begin promptly 6 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

The PSAT/NMSQT will be administered at EHS 8 a.m. Oct. 14. It is recommended all college bound 11th grade students take this test. Registration is open and the deadline to register is Oct. 4. There is a cost to take the test. Late arrivals will need to enter through the main office entrance to sign in at the late desk.

The homecoming football game will be held Oct. 13 at EHS and the homecoming dance will be held the following day, Oct. 14 in EHS Cafe 1 and 2.
