LOWHILL TOWNSHIP: Christ’s Church at Lowhill collecting cleaning supplies
Christ’s Church at Lowhill, 4695 Lowhill Church Road, New Tripoli, will be kicking off a new weekly Wednesday night Bible study for adults 6 p.m. Sept. 20 with Pastor Chris Cocca.
Examine the types of literature that comprise the Bible.
The church is also having a community yard sale and car show from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 7. Rain date is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct 8.
Bring your car, truck, motorcycle for free to display your special ride.
Food will be available for purchase.
There will be a 50/50 drawing and stroll the grounds listening to your favorite tunes.
They are also collecting cleaning supplies to fill much-needed cleanup buckets for the volunteer and professional crews that will be dispatched to Texas, Florida and elsewhere.
They will be accepting donations for the next month and sending the buckets out on a rolling basis.

Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield, is hosting a game night 3 p.m. on Sept. 17.
Bring a covered dish and/or dessert to share.
The church is accepting orders for its Oct. 6 bake sale. Pies include pumpkin, coconut cream, cherry crumb and apple.
They are also selling apple dumplings.

Lehigh Valley Zoo, 5150 Game Preserve Road, Schnecksville, will have member appreciation day Sept. 16.
All zoo members will receive a 15-percent discount in the café and gift shops.
They will also receive free entrance to the Wonders of Wildlife Encounter at 1:30 p.m. and a chance to see a special otter enrichment at 1 p.m.
The Crayola Experience will also be featured 10 a.m. to noon.

Raccoon Appreciation Day at the zoo is scheduled for Sept. 24 with raccoon-themed activities to celebrate the zoo’s resident raccoon Titan.
