State Police Beat

State Police Troop M, Fogelsville, say Erasmo A. Gil Gil, 27, of Hazelton, was driving a 1999 Lexus ES300 just before 9 p.m. on Sept. 2 on Route 100, Lowhill Township when the car struck an embankment and rolled over.

According to police, Gil Gil was southbound on Route 100, just south of Hausman Circle, when he apparently lost control of the car.

After striking the embankment, the car rolled over several times before coming to a final rest.

Gil Gil, who police say was wearing his seat belt, was uninjured.

Police say he was cited with driving at an unsafe speed.

Cetronia Ambulance Corps assisted at the scene.

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Eric C. Toften, 51, of Norristown, and a 41-year-old Drexel Hill man allegedly engaged in a physical dispute 11:12 p.m. Sept. 2 on private hunting grounds in the 8900 block of Perry Long Court, Lynn Township.

According to police, the two men, who had been camping with a group of people, began to engage in the physical dispute.

During that dispute, Toften allegedly pulled a knife and stabbed the other man in the abdomen.

The man was transported by ambulance to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, where he was treated for nonlife threatening injuries.

Toften was arrested by troopers and charged with two counts of aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment.
