Senior Adults Gaining Enrichment, an outreach program of Penn State Lehigh Valley for adults age 55 and older, is holding a lecture Sept. 15 in room 135 at Penn State Lehigh Valley, 2809 Saucon Valley Road, Center Valley.
The lecture “Picture This: The Evolution of Photography 1980-present” will be given by Christos Karfakis, a contemporary photo-historian.
The demise of Kodak, the Space/Spy program, “a camera in every pocket,” and modern day photographers and their works will be covered.
The program begins with coffee at 10:30 a.m., the featured speaker at 11 a.m., and lunch at noon.
The mission of SAGE is to encourage intellectual and cultural enrichment for seniors, 55 and older, by providing a stimulating college-level lecture, workshop and seminar environment through a self-funded, self-directed and member-driven program.
