Historical society fall festival planned for Sept. 9 and 10

Weisenberg Lowhill Township Historical Society is hosting their fall festival noon to 6 p.m. Sept. 9 and 10 at 4585 Werleys Corner Road, New Tripoli.

There will be food, a bake sale and children’s activities including a fish pond, pumpkin and hex sign painting, bean bags, straw maze and watermelon eating contest for all ages.

Exhibits, antique farm and other equipment, animals from Four Springs Farms, WLTHS Quilters, Dave Fegley’s Corn Husk Creations, Scott Dietrich, Kempton Creek Soap, Weisenberg Volunteer Fire Company, Cetronia Ambulance Corps, The Sanctuary at Haafsville, Fink’s Studio at Geranium (Sept. 10), Blacksmith Don Edris with “Iron Oak Creations” and Ella Mae Hemerly’s Craft Creations will be featured.

Free miniature horse buggy rides will be available Sept. 10.

Featured entertainment is “Big Valley Bluegrass” Sept. 9 and “We3” Sept. 10.

Parking and family fun are both free.
