Upper Macungie
The Upper Macungie Township Police Department is proud to announce that they will be hosting two Crime Watch/Community Meetings this September.
These meetings will be held from 6-7 p.m. Sept. 13 at Upper Macungie Park, 1625 Route 100, Fogelsville and Sept. 26 at Lone Lane Park, 30 Lone Lane, Breinigsville.
The meetings will enable officers to update the community on current crime trends in their neighborhoods, offer suggestions on how to keep you and your family safe, and lastly, to hear feedback from residents on problems they are currently experiencing in the community.
In revitalizing the community’s crime watch program, the police department’s goal is to create the Upper Macungie Township Crime Watch Association.
This association, which will consist of police officers and residents, will act as a focus group and advisory panel for all of the smaller watch groups that exist in the township.
In addition, this group will discuss ideas as to how to better reach the residents of Upper Macungie Township so that we can continue to grow our great relationship, as well as offer input on what programs they are interested in seeing the police department host.
There are no fees or registration required for these meetings.
