Community Heroes Day in Emmaus. The Community Heroes Walkway Brick Installation will take place 5 p.m. at the Emmaus Commemorative Gardens. Hivel Und Dahl Preservation Society 25th Anniversary Celebration. Stop by the Schubert-Graber log cabin at 6561 Powder Valley Road, Zionsville 4 to 7 p.m. to help the society celebrate its 25th anniversary. Take a look inside the cabin and enjoy free hot dogs, drinks and cake. Parking at Salem United Methodist Church on Powder Valley and on Highfield Drive. 2017 Emmaus Main Street Partners Farewell to Summer Festival at Triangle Park, 332 Main St., Emmaus, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Event includes family friendly activities for kids, teens and adults including: live music, A Troll Trail Hunt, children’s and teen entertainment, artisan, nonprofit and service vendors, the EMSP beverage bar, the Mystery Basket Family Cooking Challenge, a free showing of the Trolls Movie at the Emmaus Theatre and more. Kathryn Albarelli, Esq. and Alicia Dominiguez will present the “Impact of Immigration on the Lehigh Valley” at Hot Topics Luncheon held by League of Women Voters of Lehigh County. Watercolorist Karen Benco will be the guest demonstrator at the Parkland Art League meeting, 7 p.m. at the Macungie Institute, 510 E. Main St., Macungie. Benco has won numerous awards and will again be featured in the August/September issue of the International Artist Magazine.

Emmaus Historical Society World War II Happy Hour 6 to 8 p.m., 218 Main St., Emmaus. Event includes appetizers, wine tasting, tour of the museum and special displays.
