SALISBURY POLICE
Police were dispatched to the Vinart Auto Group lot, 3143 Lehigh St., 1:20 a.m. Aug. 15 for a report of four males dressed in black clothing walking through the lot. It was reported the males were jacking up a vehicle. Officers arrived and noticed a vehicle was jacked up and the tires and wheels were removed. The four males were seen fleeing the area. Officers were able to detain three of the males while the fourth was able to get away. Additional dark clothing accessories and tools were found with the males. A total of six rims were removed or were in the process of being removed before they attempted to flee the area.
Carlos Ivan Ramos-Soto, 21, of Allentown, was charged with alleged criminal attempt-theft by unlawful taking or disposition, criminal attempt-theft from a motor vehicle, possession of an instrument of crime, corruption of minors, criminal conspiracy-theft by unlawful taking or disposition, criminal conspiracy-theft from a motor vehicle and theft of movable property. Ramos-Soto was arraigned and committed to the Lehigh County prison. A 15-year-old male and a 17-year-old male, both of Allentown, were also charged.
An employee at Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest reported 11 a.m. Aug. 10, the theft of Apple EarPods valued at $11 from the emergency room.
A resident in the 1300 block of Maumee Avenue reported 1:13 a.m. Aug. 11 the theft of undergarments from the home.
Joseph Plummer, 28, of Quakertown, was charged with alleged theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and criminal trespassing 11:57 a.m. Aug. 14. Plummer allegedly was observed removing items from a business in the 1200 block of East Emmaus Avenue. Equipment removed is valued at $1,688.47.
Maximo Desarden, 75, of Allentown, was charged with theft and receiving stolen property 10:25 a.m. Aug. 15 after allegedly removing lawn equipment from a home in the 2800 block of Lindberg Avenue. The equipment is valued at $660. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.
A resident in the 700 block of East Montgomery Street reported 8:45 a.m. Aug. 16 the theft of undergarments and clothing from the home.
Amanda Williams, 34, of Allentown, was charged with alleged possession of drug paraphernalia and drugs while at Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest 9:18 p.m. Aug. 10.
Carlos Moreno-Cosme, 47, of Bethlehem, was charged with alleged drug possession at Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest 2:59 a.m. Aug. 16.
A resident in the 2200 block of Nottingham Road reported 10:15 a.m. Aug. 11 two teens were observed in the resident’s garage and fleeing with a bike.
A resident in the 2500 block of Fish Hatchery Road reported 11:13 a.m. Aug. 14 returning from vacation to find jewelry missing valued at $13,180.
Jean Mendoza-Rivera, 25, of Bronx, N.Y., was charged with retail theft after allegedly trying to walk out of BonTon, 3300 Lehigh St., with Carter’s clothing for his child valued at $114. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.
Francisco Santiago, 25, of Allentown, was charged with suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop in the 900 block of East Susquehanna Street 7:08 p.m. Aug. 14. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.
Yomaira Rivera, 25, of Allentown, was charged with suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Broadway 2:55 a.m. Aug. 17. She was taken to Central Booking for processing.
Gary Karounos, 56, of Allentown, was charged with suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop along Broadway 1:07 a.m. Aug. 5. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.
A resident in the 2300 block of South Filbert Street reported a theft from a vehicle on the property 7:46 a.m. Aug. 16. An unknown person removed 120 Oxycodone pills from the locked vehicle. There was no damage to the vehicle.
Police recovered a purse stolen from a purse belonging to resident in the 900 block of East Montgomery Street reported 9 a.m. Aug. 16.
Anthony Ordonez, 25, of Allentown, was charged with alleged disorderly conduct after a traffic stop in The Swain School parking lot 9 p.m. July 31.
