State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Shawn Steven Katz, 35, of Kempton, was allegedly found sleeping with the driver’s side door of his vehicle open 12:57 a.m. Aug. 3 at the intersection of Route 309 at Weiss Road, Lynn Township.

Police say Katz allegedly failed the field sobriety tests and was transported to Lehigh County Central Booking Center for a legal blood draw.

Charges for driving under the influence were filed against Katz with District Judge Rod Beck, Slatington.

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say while troopers were investigating an alleged underage drinking party 3 a.m. Aug. 20, a bag containing a small amount of marijuana was found in a driveway along Leiby Lane, Weisenberg Township.

Police say the marijuana was found after several juveniles allegedly fled the area.
