Join Tricia Shimkus to learn your preferred speaking style at her Tricia Talks: Transformation Tuesday event at 7 p.m. Aug. 22.

This workshop will provide participants with an assessment of their preferred speaking style using the Whole Brain tool.

Unleash your creativity at the Joy of Coloring class 3 p.m. Aug. 23.

The library staff will provide coloring pages and pencils.

Bring knitting materials and spend an afternoon swapping knitting tips and tricks with the Knitting Circle 2-4 p.m. Aug. 24.

Upper Macungie Township is offering pickup volleyball for kids 14 and older and adults from 6-8 p.m. through Aug. 27 at Upper Macungie Park, 1625 N. Route 100, Fogelsville. All levels are welcome.

Zion’s Union Church Maxatawny, 329 Church Road, will be having its Sunday School picnic and Rally Day 10 a.m. Aug. 27 at the upper pavilion at Longswamp Community Park, 1112 State St., Mertztown.

Entertainment will be Puppets Pizzazz.

Bring lawn chairs. The Sunday School will provide hot dogs and beverages at noon. Games begin after lunch.
