Volunteer firefighters from Woodlawn, Greenawalds, Cetronia, Fogelsville, Whitehall and Catasauqua fire department along with South Whitehall Police responded 10:12 a.m. for a house fire at 1724 Glacier Court, South Whitehall Township.

Woodlawn Fire Chief Rusty Held spoke with The Press at the scene about the fire.

“PPL Electric Utilities had been here doing some work and after they left, a breaker tripped and the homeowner smelled something burning,” Held said, adding the homeowner called 911.

There were no injuries, he noted.

Held said the fire was called under control at 10:46 a.m.

Cetronia Ambulance Corps and PPL Electric Utilities assisted at the scene.

According to Lehigh County assessment records, the home is owned by Arthur R. and Jane O. Kaplan.
