Sheree Bortz, 29, of Allentown, was arrested July 31 for suspicion of retail theft after she allegedly removed a hairbrush valued at $6.67 from the 7-Eleven convenience store, 1146 Chestnut St. Bortz was transported to Lehigh Booking Center for processing, according to police.

Anneliese Miraglia, 30, of Emmaus, was arrested July 31 for suspicion of simple assault in the 300 block of South 16th Street after an alleged domestic dispute, according to police. Charges were filed, according to court documents.

A resident in the 100 block of North Fifth Street reported Aug. 1 an unknown actor entered an unlocked garage and removed a Briggs and Stratton generator valued at $889.36, according to police.

A resident in the 100 block of Main Street reported Aug. 5 an unknown actor removed a modified men’s bicycle and a BMX men’s bicycle with a total value of $155, according to police.

A pair of glasses was found Aug. 4 in the 300 block of Main Street. The glasses are stored at the Emmaus Police Department headquarters, 400 Jubilee St.

Franklin Schwartz, 46, of Allentown, was arrested July 31 for indirect criminal contempt after he allegedly violated a protection from abuse order by texting an individual multiple times, according to police.
