A 49-year-old male, of Emmaus, was injured Aug. 8 when he accidentally discharged his firearm while on his way to the range, according to authorities. Pennsylvania State Police responded to State Route 100, Lower Milford Township, 4:25 p.m., to a call from an individual who indicated he had an accident. The man injured his left leg, according to police. He was transported by Macungie EMS to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, for treatment.

Marcelo Fuertes, 41, of Macungie, was taken into custody and charged with suspicion of driving under the influence after a traffic stop along East Main Street at Race Street in Macungie borough at 12:53 a.m. May 7. Charges were filed, according to court documents.

An Allentown woman reported a Lincoln MIG welder, Honda generator, Husky generator and a Pelican tool box filled with tools were removed from an outbuilding on the premises of a property in the 9100 block of Pond Road, Lower Milford Township, between July 11 and 31. A resident on Townsquare Drive, Lower Macungie Township, reported a theft from a motor vehicle between Aug. 5 and Aug. 6.

A resident along Camelot Drive, Lower Macungie Township, reported a theft from a motor vehicle overnight July 24. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville at 610-395-1438.

A resident of 4200 block of Main Road West, Upper Milford Township, reported the theft of prescription drugs and three rings valued at approximately $2,500 between 4 and 8 p.m. Aug. 5. A 19-year-old, of Allentown, was identified as a suspect and charges are pending, according to police.

A resident in the 4000 block of Vera Cruz Road, Upper Milford Township, reported unknown actors removed personal documents from an unlocked vehicle overnight Aug. 8.

A Lower Macungie Township resident reported an unknown actor opened a quick line of credit at a Lane Bryant retail store in Troy, Mich., using the complainant’s identity and made $700 worth of purchases at multiple retail stores in Michigan and North Carolina between June 14 and July 14.

A Lower Macungie Township resident reported his credit card number was compromised and used on a number of websites to order various beauty products between July 31 and Aug. 3.

A 16-year-old male, of Allentown, faces a charge of retail theft after he concealed merchandise and left Kohl’s department store, 6900 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 4:29 p.m. July 21.

A 16-year-old male, of Allentown and a 16-year-old female, of Allentown, are charged with retail theft after concealing merchandise and leaving Kohl’s department store, 6900 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 6:16 p.m. July 31.

A 19-year-old male, of Lower Macungie Township, faces a charge of retail theft after he removed merchandise from Kohl’s department store, 6900 Hamilton Blvd., 4:44 p.m. Aug. 3. The male left the store and was later apprehended by police.

Criminal mischief

Reported by a resident along South Hedgerow Drive, Lower Macungie Township, an unknown actor caused damage to a residence between July 31 and Aug. 2.

Reported by a resident in the 5200 block of Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, an unknown actor threw a rock through a window overnight July 31.

Reported by a resident in the 1800 block of Sassafrass Lane, Lower Macungie Township, an unknown actor shot a window of a residence with a pellet gun. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville at 610-395-1438.

A 17-year-old male, of Emmaus, sustained a minor injury Aug. 6 after the vehicle he was driving struck a utility pole, went down an embankment and through a field along Spring Creek Road in Lower Macungie Township. According to police, the teen was the operator of a 2015 Subaru Crosstrek while westbound on Spring Creek Road, east of Cherry Lane, at 11:12 p.m. Police describe the vehicle as traveling at a speed greater than reasonable for the conditions of the roadway. The vehicle left the road and struck a utility pole with its rear left door. The vehicle spun counterclockwise and traveled approximately 189 feet down an embankment and through a field. The teen did not request medical treatment. A 17-year-old passenger, also of Emmaus, was not injured. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

According to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville, a Jeep Wrangler struck a metal fence along Kraussdale Road in Lower Milford Township, damaging several sections. The vehicle was traveling north on Kings Highway and made a left onto Kraussdale Road about 5:09 p.m. and sideswiped a metal fence. The vehicle fled the scene, continuing west on Kraussdale Road. A 15-year-old male, of Macungie, was charged with harassment after he allegedly struck a 13-year-old male, of Alburtis, with a closed fist 1:15 p.m. May 12 at Lower Macungie Middle School, 6299 Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, according to police.

Juan Trinidad Trinidad, 51, of Allentown, was charged with harassment after he allegedly called a Macungie woman several times between July 30 and Aug. 3 for no legitimate reason. Charges were filed, according to court documents.

Andrew E. Breuninger, 42, of Emmaus, was charged with harassment after a verbal argument turned physical at a residence in the 5700 block of Vera Cruz Road, Upper Milford Township, 1:53 a.m. Aug. 6. Breuninger allegedly pushed a 36-year-old woman and slapped her several times with an open hand to the head. Charges were filed, according to court documents.
