LV Museum:
Lehigh County Historical Society’s Pennsylvania Dutch “Food & Garden Lore” is 11 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Aug. 12 at the historic 1756 Troxell-Steckel Farm, 4229 Reliance St., Egypt, Whitehall Township.
Visitors can tour a farmhouse built 20 years before the Declaration of Independence and see vintage wagons, farm tools, and much more. The event will feature displays and activities related to Pennsylvania Dutch gardening, garden produce, and foods.
Catherine Steckel, who lived there in 1842, will be portrayed. She will explain harvest time in the garden and kitchen.
