Upper Lehigh Lions Club will stage its annual Roar with the Lions Festival and Craft Fair this weekend in the Union United Church of Christ grove in Neffs.
The event gets underway July 28 when the food stands open 4 p.m.
Crazy Hearts will entertain 7-10 p.m. Refreshment stands will remain open all evening.
Breakfast will be available 8-11 a.m. on July 29. Food will be served the entire day and evening till 10 p.m.
Crafts in the Grove will run 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
Numerous vendors will be set up throughout the lovely grove, and entertainment will be supplied by Matt Miskie.
A free health fair is also on the agenda, including Sparky the Fire Dog, blood pressure screening, and child safety ID services. Used eyeglasses will be collected.
The Miller-Keystone Blood Bank will be present, replenishing supplies which typically go down during the summer.
The Large Flower Heads will provide ’60s music from 7-10 p.m.

Proceeds from this festival and other fundraisers throughout this past year were given to organizations such as Northern Lehigh and Agape food banks, Meals on Wheels, Center for Vision Loss, Beacon Lodge for campers with vision issues, Leader Dog services, and various eye care, diabetes, and hearing needs in the community.
Last year, the Upper Lehigh Lions donated $38,577 to charities.
Gus Dekrell has taken over as president for 2017-18, with Ruthann Krause, Ronald Smith and Connie Taschner as vice presidents.
Other club officers are Ed Beishline, secretary; Kevin Schmidt, treasurer; Ron Gabel, assistant secretary-treasurer; Harold Reitz, tail twister; one-year directors, Richard Wisser and Lou Albright; two-year directors, Tom Kern and Diana Haines; immediate past president, Karlene Laub; and representative to the Fund of Hope, Ken Zimmerman.
