The East Penn School District Education Foundation moved “Full STEAM Ahead” at their inaugural mini-gala held recently at Lehigh Country Club. This first official fundraising event of the foundation was aimed at providing monetary enrichment for the foundation’s Innovator Grant Program which supports STEAM-powered education in district classrooms.
The gala featured a performance by the Emmaus High School Chamber Strings, a cocktail hour, buffet dinner, raffle prizes for items donated by local businesses and individuals and a foundation living logo on site to entertain guests.
Members of the foundation thanked community stakeholders for their generous donations to the Innovator Grant Program. Funds in excess of $7,000 were raised through sponsoring this event.
Looking forward, the foundation will partner with the East Penn Chamber 4 to 6 p.m. Sept. 21 at the House & Barn for a happy hour mixer to benefit the EPSD Education Foundation and the East Penn Chamber’s Scholarship. The community is encouraged to attend this event.
