Worship on Wednesday with area church choirs from Christ Lutheran, Redeemer Lutheran, St. Timothy Lutheran and Glorious Day Praise Band 6:45 p.m. at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 140 S. Ott St., Allentown. There is no cost; freewill offering will benefit local ministries. Outdoor service; bring a lawn chair or a blanket. Service will move indoors if raining. Aug. 1

National Night Out sponsored by the Salisbury Township Police Department, 6 to 8 p.m. at Salisbury High School, 500 E. Montgomery St., Allentown. Meet and greet your local police officers, firefighters and EMS personnel while having fun. Event includes free food and drinks, emergency vehicles on display, kids’ games and activities, home safety tips, neighborhood watch information and child safety seat checks and installation. The Salisbury Athletic Booster Club is conducting a one day clothing and more drive 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Salisbury Middle School, 3301 Devonshire Road, Allentown. Items collected included clothing and shoes, accessories, household items and toys. They will not accept VCR tapes, CDs, books, box televisions, monitors, car seats, oversized playsets or outdoor playsets.
