Camp Cementon: Campers enjoy week of games
During week five at Camp Cementon, the campers experienced a hot and steamy week but still made the most of it! Monday began with free time in the morning, which included the classic Four Square tournament. The day continued with Jump the River, Silent Ball indoors, Fastest in the West and Night at the Museum. Lunch time then followed, and the campers began to get situated for the pool directly after that.
On Tuesday, the day began with free time, and then the children eventually made their way over to the basketball courts for a competitive game of Pac Man. Due to the heat, we were driven back indoors just after a few games. The campers enjoyed an intense game of Red Light, Green Light. The morning was then finished off with the classic games of Spud and Four Corners. Once lunch time came to an end, the campers headed to the pool to occupy themselves in the water during the hot weather.
Wednesday was an exciting day for Camp Cementon as they got to an endeavor a trip to FreeFall with their buddies over at Camp Jefferson! The children seemed to really enjoy jumping around in the sponge pit, Dodgeball on the trampolines and riding the mechanical bull. The campers saved some energy for the pool that afternoon and finished off the day with swimming for about an hour.
Once Thursday rolled around, the day began with free time, and then students made their way over to the field for Ant Tag outdoors. After Ant Tag, they put their speed to the test with an intense game of Freeze Tag. The campers then headed inside to make slime from scratch! Surprisingly, this craft was not as messy as it sounds, and the children had smiles on their faces while making various colors to share with friends. The day followed with Dodgeball indoors, lunch time and then the pool to finish off the hot day.
Friday began with free time to start off the day and eventually made its way to Dodgeball on the basketball courts. The campers then headed indoors for intense games of Silent Ball and Musical Chairs. Following these activities, the children headed outside for a game of Hungry Giants right before lunch time. The afternoon was then spent at the pool.
The Campers of the Week included Collene and Malakai. Way to go! We look forward to seeing all for week six!
