State Police Troop M Fogelsville, stopped William Leard Floyd, 23, of Manning, S.C., for an alleged motor vehicle violation around 4:30 p.m. July 4 on I-78 East, Upper Macungie Township.
Police allege Leard was under the influence and in possession of a controlled substance.
Charges were filed with District Judge Michael Faulkner, Upper Macungie.
State Police Troop M Fogelsville responded around 3 p.m. June 30 to I-78 East, Upper Macungie Township.
Police say Adam Bunn, 40, of Stroudsburg, was traveling eastbound in the right lane and was slowing due to traffic conditions.
Carlos Rosario, 44, of Allentown, was traveling eastbound in the right lane behind Bunn and apparently failed to slow his vehicle in time.
Rosario’s truck struck the rear trailing unit of Bunn’s Freightliner.
Rosario’s truck sustained disabling damage to the front tractor and was towed by Yocum.
Bunn’s trailing unit sustained minor damage to its rear.
Rosario was cited for following too closely.
The citation was filed with District Judge Donna Butler, Emmaus.
