Police say a 16-year-old male driver from Allentown was driving a 2010 Subaru Impreza east on Poplar Road, Lowhill Township, just before 8 p.m. July 12 when a deer ran out in front of his car.

According to police, the teen braked and swerved his car left into a tree.

The teen, who police say was wearing a lap and shoulder belt, suffered an injury of unknown severity.
