The Bethlehem Area School Board recognized five Freedom HS students at the June 26 board meeting. Freedom HS Assistant Principal Maureen Leeson, FHS Band Director Michael Moran and board member Dr. Dean Donaher presented the students with awards for participation in a variety of competitive musical performances. BASD falls within Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District 10 and requires intense auditions against students from Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Northampton, Pike and Schuylkill Counties.
