Police said a nurse was stabbed around 9:30 p.m. June 30 at Lehigh Valley Health Network-Muhlenberg.

A hospital spokesman said the male nurse was listed in stable condition the following day.

Police Chief Mark DiLuzio said the suspect fled but was arrested nearby within 10 minutes. Nineteen-year-old Joshua Rafael Santos was charged in Lehigh County with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and simple assault.

Santos was taken to Lehigh County prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.
