Harold R. Smith, 91, of Whitehall, died peacefully on July 1, 2017.

Married to June A. (Sokol) Smith for almost 67 years, he was born in Allentown to the late Russell and Irene (Good) Smith.

He was a member of St John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Whitehall.

A draftsman for Fuller Co., GATX, for more than 35 years, he loved nature, especially taking care of the birds at his home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Elaine Fink and husband, Dean, of Whitehall, Caroline Nauroth and husband, Bernard, of Allentown; and granddaughters Alyssa Fink and Megan Nauroth.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Kathy, in 2015.

Services will be 2 p.m. July 6 in the Gilbert Funeral Home, 444 Pershing Blvd., Whitehall, with the Rev. Martha S. Sipe officiating. Visitation with his family will begin 1 p.m.

Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, South Whitehall.
