Agape New Testament Fellowship Church, 5229 Route 873, Schnecksville, is having a flea market from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 30, and from 8 a.m.-noon July 1.

There will be an assortment of items for sale, including clothing and refreshments.

Proceeds will benefit youth ministries.

Agape Church invites young people ages 11-19 to a VBS camp out 6 p.m. July 14 to 10 a.m. July 15.

Attendees will share time together for breakfast.

The theme, “God is Not Dead,” includes teaching, games, crafts, snacks, a rock-a-thon, and a movie.

Permission slips are needed for the sleepover.

This spring, volunteers from Union Lutheran Church, Schnecksville, conducted a special project at Bear Creek Camp near Wilkes-Barre.

The men spent their time working on 16-foot by 16-foot cabins, which are replacing old tents.

The Union Lutheran team included Ron Bealer (cook), Ron Bedics, Jim Hersh, Jeff Metzger, Brian Lynn (plumber), Charlie Kopcho, George Dolgos (electrician), and Carlton Gillikin.

They installed light switches and outlets, put in roofing and gable end framing, and replaced leaking pipes in the bath house.

“It was a very rewarding and successful week,” Gillikin reported.

Bear Creek Camp is sponsored by Lutheran churches.

The Auxiliary of Northern Valley EMS, NOVA, is taking orders for barbecued chicken dinners which will be served noon-6 p.m. on July 15.

Meal includes half a chicken, corn on the cob, baked potato, pepper cabbage and dessert.

Lorah’s will prepare the chicken.

Eat in the air-conditioned social hall or ask for a takeout order.
