MACUNGIE POLICE

Sean Cole Horsford, 18, of Alburtis, faces charges of theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and other charges after he allegedly removed items from vehicles in multiple locations. On June 10, Macungie Police were alerted to reports of several thefts from vehicles overnight. At approximately 4 a.m. June 12 police again began receiving reports of theft from vehicles. Officers were dispatched on reports of a suspicious male in the area of the 200 block of Cotton Street. Officers located a male who allegedly threw items and a large backpack upon noticing police. The male, identified as Horsford by police, was apprehended. A large amount of stolen items was inside the backpack, according to police. Contents included cash, jewelry, computers, phones and weapons. Additionally, narcotics, marijuana, mushrooms and prescription drugs were recovered. Horsford was processed and transported to Lehigh County Central Booking where he was arraigned and admitted to Lehigh County Prison, according to a media release from police. Charges were filed, according to court documents.

The total number of victims of the thefts exceeds 20 from three different agency jurisdictions, according to police.

Jennifer L. Gross, 45, of Mertztown, faces charges of suspicion of driving under the influence after a vehicle stop. Gross was transported to Lehigh County Central Booking. Charges were filed, according to court documents.

An 18-year-old male, of Coopersburg, faces charges of allegedly attempting to purchase alcohol with a fraudulent identification at Bear Swamp Beverage, 100 W. Main St. Charges were filed, according to police.

Three juvenile males were charged after police were dispatched to two separate physical alternations.

In the first incident, two citations were issued to both males, according to police; however, a date for the altercation was not released by police.

In the second incident, a 17-year-old male was placed in custody in juvenile detention for assaulting a 20-year-old female, according to police. A date for the incident was not released by police.
