EMMAUS POLICE

The Emmaus Police Department made 25 vehicle contacts and issued seven seat belt citations during the May/June 2017 “Click It or Ticket” Seat Belt Enforcement Mobilization.

The Emmaus Police Department joined with more than 315 other law enforcement agencies in an effort to increase seat belt use and reduce the number of unbelted injuries and deaths.

The effort included 315 Pennsylvania municipal agencies and supplemented the national “Click It or Ticket” Seat Belt Mobilization initiative which ran through June 4. As part of the initiative, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation distributes federal enforcement funding from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
