Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield, is having a summer picnic 4-9 p.m. June 24 in the church grove, Leather Corner Post, Orefield. Rain date is 1-6 p.m. June 25.

Music will be performed by The Main Street Cruisers. There will be cakewalks, raffles and children activities.

There will also be hamburgers, hot dogs, barbecue red beet eggs, french fries, soft drinks, ice cream and penny candy for sale.

Lehigh Valley Zoo, 5150 Game Preserve Road, Schnecksville, is offering Pre-Zoo Camp, Animals A to Z from 9 a.m. to noon June 26-30 for children ages 4-5.

Campers will discover funny names some of the animals have as they venture through the alphabet.

Each day will be packed with fun filled activities that include animal encounters, crafts, interactive games and zoo tours.

Join the Zoo for its annual K-9 Dog Walk on June 24 to help raise money for the Zoo’s conservation efforts.

Registration begins 7:30 a.m. The walk will begin 8:30 a.m.

All dogs must be on leashes. There will be dog shelters with adoptable dogs, vendors who specialize in dog products, goody bags and face painting and crafts for the kids.

This event is sponsored in partnership with the Lehigh Valley Veterinary Dermatology and Valley Central Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center.
