STUDENT OF THE WEEK

Q. In what grade are you?

A. I am a 2017 graduate of Emmaus High School.

Q. What was your favorite subject? Why?

A. My favorite subject would have to be anatomy, I absolutely love science and it’s what I plan to pursue in the future.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. For lacrosse, I was first team all EPC 2016 and second team 2017, I earned honor roll throughout my four years and am a member of Spanish Honor Society.

Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?

A. I was part of the pediatric cancer club at the high school. I also help coach field hockey and lacrosse and play club field hockey with WC Eagles.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. After high school I will be attending Temple University where I will be studying biomedical engineering with a forensic minor and playing Division 1 field hockey for the Owls.

Q. What has been your biggest challenge to date?

A. Overcoming adversity through high school to get a scholarship to play the sport I love in college. Proving that no matter what the circumstances, you need to make the best of everything.

Q. For what would you like to be remembered?

A. I would like to be remembered as someone who was compassionate and caring for others, a strong leader – someone well-rounded, that worked hard for everything they did and continue to do.

Q. Who is in your family?

A. My parents Joe and Franny, my sister Teresa and my dogs Cocoa and Dozer.

Q. Whom do you admire? Why?

A. There are a lot of people I admire and have been influential in my life including both my parents, but my sister Teresa is definitely the person I admire the most. We are very close and have been through a lot together, and everything I do and have done I always look up to her for advice. She is an amazing role model. Her intelligence, positivity, and overall attitude is something I admire to be like. She has pushed me to be the person and athlete I am today. Without her I wouldn’t be where I am.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. Take your time and enjoy the present. Time flies and once it’s gone you can’t get it back. Work hard and never give up. You can always learn something new. Reach for the stars.
