Community blood drive at Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Eastern Salisbury, 1707 Church Road, Allentown. The blood drive, 4 to 8 p.m., is in memory of Wayne Leibensperger Jr. Call Deana for an appointment at 610-217-3155.

Lower Milford Fireman’s Carnival, 1601 Limeport Pike, Limeport, through June 17. Grounds open 6 p.m. each night; music begins 7 p.m. each night. Proceeds benefit emergency services in Lower Milford Township.

Lehigh Valley Active Life performance groups will hold a concert 1 to 3 p.m. at Scottish Rite Cathedral, 1533 Hamilton St., Allentown. Enjoy music by Lehigh Valley Pops Orchestra, Good Vibrations Chorus, Elm Street Jazz Ensemble and the Timely Tappers. There is an admission charge. For information, call 610-437-3700.

The Emmaus Flag Day Association will hold it’s annual Flag Day Program in the Emmaus Community Park 6 p.m. The program will include presentations of fifth grade students who wrote winning poems and eighth grade students who wrote winning essays that address the question, “What does the American flag mean to me?” The Emmaus Chorale, directed by Laura Rabenold, will present musical presentations. Monsignor Edward Coyle, pastor, St. Ann Church, Emmaus, will give the invocation and benediction. The featured speaker is Emmaus Chief of Police Charles Palmer. Nathan Brown, Emmaus Borough Council member will preside and Emmaus Mayor Winfred Iobst will present proclamations to the winning students.

Allentown Flag Day Association patriotic concert by the Great Allentown Band 7 p.m. in Allentown’s West Park, 16th and Turner streets. The rain site is the auditorium of William Allen High School. Three winners from Allentown middle schools will present winning essays. The concert is free. A free will offering will be taken to perpetuate the programs of the Allentown Flag Day Association.

The Alburtis Police Department and the Alburtis Area Community Center will host a first responder/military appreciation day to honor and support local heroes. There will be displays, raffles, games and food available. The event will start noon. Raffle items, financial contributions and volunteers are needed.
