Upper Lehigh Lions Club will be having a chicken barbecue noon to 6 p.m. June 3 in the social hall at the Schnecksville Fire Co., Route 309, Schnecksville.

Bake sale items will be available to purchase.

Proceeds will benefit community projects.

KEMPTON

The Kempton Fair, sponsored by the Kempton Community Center, 83 Community Center Drive, is set for June 15-17.

There will be tractor and truck power pulls, and drags; and popular musical talents Crazy Hearts, Scott Marshall and Marshall’s Highway, and the Hannah Violet Trio will perform.

There will also be livestock exhibitions; baking contests; fireworks; interactive attractions for the youngsters, such as Middle-earth Children’s Theater; food and much more.

Kempton’s Got Talent competition will be June 15. Auditions are June 3 at the KCC.

On June 16, there will be a Willie Nelson Look-Alike Contest. There will be prizes for age groups and eras.
