UPPER MACUNGIE TOWNSHIP
St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1028 Church St., and St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1027 Church St., Fogelsville, are hosting their annual joint community Memorial Day service at 10 a.m. May 29 in Fogelsville Union Cemetery.
The service will be led by the Rev. Nelson Quinones and the Robert M. Fegely VFW Post 8282, Breinigsville.
The Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts will assist at the service.
Everyone is welcome to attend.

Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall Township, will be showing the movie “Lion” at its Modern Brown Bag Classics at 1 p.m. June 5.
Technical Tuesday will be 3-4 p.m. June 6 at Luther Crest retirement community, 800 Hausman Road, South Whitehall.

Upper Macungie Township will show “Pete’s Dragon” June 9 at Lone Lane Park, 30 Lone Lane. The activities start 7 p.m.
The township is offering pickup volleyball for kids 14 age and older from 6-8 p.m. June 4 to Aug. 27 at Upper Macungie Park, Route 100, Fogelsville.
All levels are welcome to participate. Both of these events are free to attend.

The Junior Youth Group at Ziegels Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville, will host a cookout for dads, uncles, grandpas and their boys 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 10.
The event will include the cookout and some dad vs kid games.
Ziegels will be hosting its “High Seas Expedition” Vacation Bible School 8:45-11:45 a.m. June 26-30.
This Bible learning experience will allow kids to explore the mighty love of God as well as allow them to see, hear, touch and taste through Bible Point Crafts, team building games, songs and tasty treats.
They will also discover how to see evidence of God in their everyday lives.
Those enrolling before June 9 will receive a free music CD.
T-shirts are available for purchase and must be ordered by June 9.
Registration forms are available in the main office at the church.
Registrations are always welcome.
The church is also looking for volunteers to help out with VBS.
