Unattended jeep smashes into home at Terry Hill park

Upper Macungie Township police and firefighters along with Cetronia Ambulance Corps personnel responded May 2 to a report of a car into a trailer near the former Terry Hill Water Park, Upper Macungie Township.

A 1979 Jeep CJ-7 had rolled down a hill in the Terry Hill Mobile Home Park and hit the rear of a home, causing damage to the master bedroom area of the home.

The owner was not home at the time of the crash.

Earlier in the morning, the Jeep’s owner had attempted to start it, but was not successful.

Upper Macungie Township Police Officer Nicklaus Morris reported the owner told him the Jeep must have come out of gear, allowing it to attempt an escape.
