Julio Cesar Acosta Jr., 38, of Allentown, was charged with simple assault after he allegedly struck a 53-year-old male, of East Texas, when a verbal altercation escalated in the 3800 block of Allen Street, Upper Milford Township, 10 p.m. May 3. According to state police, the 53-year-old male was a passenger in a ride share vehicle Acosta allegedly was driving. As Acosta was driving the 53-year-old male to his residence a verbal altercation ensued inside the vehicle. Acosta pulled his vehicle over and the passenger exited the vehicle. Acosta exited the vehicle and allegedly struck the man two times with a closed fist then fled the scene in his vehicle. Charges were filed, according to court documents.

Sheila Yissel Ramos, 31, of Allentown, was taken into custody after she allegedly showed up at a residence in the 3500 block of Vista Drive, Lower Macungie Township, and used a rock to carve words on two family vehicles. She then allegedly used a larger rock to break front windows at the residence and make entry. She allegedly used a large piece of glass to threaten the resident of the home and then engaged in a physical altercation during which Ramos allegedly hit and bit the victim. Charges of burglary, criminal trespass, simple assault, terroristic threats and criminal mischief were filed, according to court documents.

A burglary was reported by a resident of Shepherd Hills Avenue, Lower Macungie Township, between 8 and 8:30 p.m. April 29. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about this incident may contact Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville at 610-395-1438.

State Police Fogelsville troopers responded to 5294 Covenant Court, Lower Macungie Township, 11:01 p.m. May 3 for an attempted burglary and found actors attempted to gain access to the residence through a basement window.

Ramon Aurelio Medina, 48, of Macungie, was charged with suspicion of driving under the influence after a motor vehicle crash along South Cedar Crest Boulevard at Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, 8:41 p.m. April 9. Charges were filed, according to court documents.

Jeffrey Joseph Bedekovich, 33, of Bensalem, was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop on Chestnut Street at Cedar Crest Boulevard, Emmaus borough, 12:22 a.m. April 23. Charges were filed, according to court documents.

Jennifer Lyn Taylor, 31, of Macungie, was taken into custody and charged with suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop in the 4700 block of Chestnut Street, Upper Milford Township, 12:12 a.m. April 22. According to police, Taylor was allegedly found to be in possession of the drug Clonazepam at the time of the stop. Charges were filed, according to court documents.

Alberto Raphael Melendez-Rojas, 29, of Macungie, was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence after a traffic stop on Hamilton Boulevard at Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, 4:39 a.m. March 12. Charges were filed, according to court records.

Megan Christine Cleary, 20, of Macungie, was charged with suspicion of driving under the influence and possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop for a violation along Sauerkraut Lane at Willow Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 1:21 a.m. April 20. Charges were filed, according to court documents.

Corrine Nancy Sergent, 31, of Bethlehem, was charged with alleged possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop along Buckeye Road at Tank Farm Road, Upper Milford Township, 1:02 a.m. April 26. Charges were filed under the Controlled Substances, Drugs, Device and Cosmetic Act, according to police and court documents.

A female resident, 39, of the 1300 block of Windhill Road, Lower Milford Township, was scammed out of $1,320 from a craigslist ad by an unnamed actor Feb. 21.

A male resident, 77, reported a farm trailer and rake were removed from a property in the 4000 block of East Mill Road, Lower Milford Township, between May 7 and 10 without the permission of the owner.
