LOWHILL TOWNSHIP
Lehigh Valley Zoo, 5150 Game Preserve Road, Schnecksville, is partnering with several local food trucks to offer the Zoo’s first Food Truck Festival 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 27.
Tasty treats from OMG Smoothies, Rollin Dough, Kona Ice of Allentown, BlendLife, Grumpy’s Bar-B-Que Roadhouse, Zippy’s Roaster and more will be featured.
Proceeds will go toward the zoo’s conservation efforts.
On Fox Fun Day, May 28, the zoo will be offering an exciting line up of hands on interactive experiences and fox-themed activities.
There will also be daily keeper talks and up close encounters with some of your favorite animals during the Wonders of Wildlife encounters.
Don’t miss the hands on interactive experiences and ungulate-themed activities June 4 for National Ungulate Day. (P.S.: ungulates are mammals with hoofs)
The zoo’s nature club, Wild Beginnings, for kids 18 months to 3 years of age with a parent/legal guardian will be offered 9:30-11 a.m. June 5.
This program encourages parents to explore nature with their children through interactive activities and nature play.
Participants will also meet ambassador animals, reflect in nature and be inspired to create nature play in their own backyard.
One adult is admitted free with each paying child.

Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield, is having a used clothing drive until June 4.
Wearable clothing, shoes and accessories for men, women and children for all seasons are being accepted.
Household items made of fabric and in good condition as well as soft, hard toys and children’s activity sets may also be donated.
