Cane Singleton, 23, of 662 Sherman St., Allentown, is charged with 10 counts each of robbery and conspiracy, both felonies of the first degree. Singleton currently is incarcerated in Lehigh County Jail on unrelated charges. He was to be arraigned through Central Booking.

It is alleged Singleton acted as the “getaway driver” in the following robberies:

•Catty Mart, 547 Front St., Catasauqua, Nov. 26, 2016;

•Speedway, 733 Hanover Ave., Allentown, Dec. 5, 2016;

•Turkey Hill, 6020 Sterners Way, Hanover Township, Northampton County, April 30;

•Turkey Hill, 1060 Main St., Northampton, May 1.

District Attorney Martin praised the cooperation between law enforcement agencies displayed during the investigation of these crimes.

“I want to recognize the efforts of the Pennsylvania State Police Troop M-Bethlehem Barracks, which took a lead role in the investigation and should be duly recognized, Pennsylvania State Police-Troop M, Fogelsville; Allentown Police Department; Catasauqua Police Department; Colonial Regional Police Department; Emmaus Police Department; Northampton Police Department; South Whitehall Police Department and Wilson Borough Police Department. In addition, I wish to thank the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms for assistance in this investigation,” Martin said.

The investigation is ongoing.

As in every criminal case, the fact that an arrest has occurred or a complaint has been filed is merely an accusation; and the defendant, Cane Singleton, is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
