Troy Gilbert, 51, of Macungie, died peacefully May 17, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of Robert A. and Dorothea M. (Helfrich) Gilbert.

He was a 1984 graduate of Emmaus High School.

He was a route salesman for various companies.

He was inducted into the Trexlertown Hall of Fame for softball.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Amy G. Flynn and her husband Dennis, along with their children Riley and Jacob; an uncle, Harold “Sonny” Helfrich and his wife Mary; and extended family members.

There will be a viewing 2 p.m., following by a service 3 p.m., both May 25 at Schmoyer Funeral Home, 8926 Brookdale Road, Breinigsville.
