South Whitehall Township police responded 7:02 p.m. May 8 for a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle and a car in the 2600 block of Route 309, Orefield.
According to a South Whitehall Police news release, a male and female were found lying in the roadway with significant injuries.
Police say the male operator of the motorcycle was identified as Joshua T. Glass of Breinigsville. His passenger was identified as Kelsie L. Demkovitz of Germansville.
According to police, a black Ford driven by Sara A. Downing of South Whitehall Township, was exiting the parking lot of the Orefield Middle School, when it was struck by the motorcycle.
Glass and Demkovitz were transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, with serious injuries, police say.
Downing and her 11-year-old son were transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital, 17th and Chew, Allentown.
Police say the preliminary investigation indicates Downing exited the parking lot, allegedly making a left turn in front of Glass, resulting in his motorcycle striking the vehicle and the couple being ejected from the motorcycle onto the road.
