The Woman’s Club of Whitehall Township has selected Meriam Deeb as Girl of the Month for April. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emad Deeb of Whitehall, she earned high honor roll for all marking periods.

She is part of National Honor Society (president), Science National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, English National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Class of 2017 Class Council, Zephyr Nation, SERVE Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Student Forum.

Deeb also is a member of the girls varsity volleyball team and track and field team and is a boys volleyball team manager. She participated in Push the Rock Volleyball Club and Quickset Volleyball Club.

She has received the Student Athlete Award and Zephyr Award and placed first and second in the Creative Arts Festival. Additionally, she is the vice president of Orthodox Youth Organization, is an attendee of Lehigh Valley Health Network Mini Med School, an ALS walk volunteer, Salvation Army homeless dinner volunteer, Teen SOYO member and a lifeguard. She also works part time.

Deeb plans to attend Lehigh University and major in biochemistry, continuing to medical school to become a physician or pharmacist.
